The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items.
Clickshop.Com is obliged under these regulations to help our customers dispose of their unwanted electrical items. In order for you to return your unwanted electronics to us please contact us using the contact form and provide the following details:
We will then issue you with a returns number, which you will need to include in your package and provide you with a return address. Once received, we will dispose of the waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
Please note: You have 28 days to return your unwanted electrical item to us from the day you receive your order.
Even though we are obliged to dispose of your electrical waste for free we must charge a fee of £5 - £10 to collect or you can return at your own cost.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.
